As Hawaii’s youth navigate the search for meaningful career paths, Hawaii Workforce Pipeline is making a significant impact by connecting education with industry opportunities.
As a nonprofit dedicated to career-connected learning, we help public school students in
Windward and Honolulu districts gain hands-on experience, professional mentorship, and
real-world exposure to careers that align with their interests and provide financially stable
careers with strong earning potential.
Through innovative partnerships with local businesses, schools, and industry leaders, Hawaii
Workforce Pipeline creates career fairs, internships, youth apprenticeships, and mentorship
programs that inspire and prepare the next generation of Hawaii’s workforce. We proudly
collaborate with esteemed employers such as The Blood Bank of Hawaii, Kualoa Ranch, The
Department of Education, Adventist Health Castle, Kahuku Medical Center, Alexander &
Baldwin, Ritz-Carlton Turtle Bay, Marine Corps Base Hawaii, and many more.
With the cost of living rising and many young professionals leaving the islands for opportunities elsewhere, our work is crucial in ensuring that students see a future for themselves right here at home.
“Our goal is to show students that they don’t have to leave Hawaii to build a fulfilling and financially stable career,” said Dr. Rachael Aquino, Executive Director of Hawaii Workforce Pipeline.“We provide them with hands-on experiences and direct connections to industries that are thriving in our own backyard—whether that’s clean energy, technology, healthcare, or skilled trades.”
During the 2023-2024 school year alone, Hawaii Workforce Pipeline supported 14,969 students in exploring career opportunities through structured programs designed to equip them with the skills and confidence needed for workforce success. The organization is calling on more businesses and industry professionals to get involved and invest in the future of Hawaii’s youth.
